The digital divide is often defined as, "the gap between those who have access to computers and the internet, and those who do not." This presentation will explore the fact that bridging the digital divide is more than just providing the physical access to computers and broadband. Participants will learn about 4 components (physical access, motivation/attitude, digital skills, and usage) that are necessary when providing equitable access, and how these components work together in bridging the digital divide in K-12 education.
